This first edition of the International Youth Conference on Natural Resource Governance and Environmental Protection was held in Accra, Ghana from 2 to 4 of May. It was marked by an exhibition fair, training workshops and discussion panels.

Discussions focused on the use of natural resources in Africa through green entrepreneurship and the circular economy. This forum was also an opportunity for young people to exhibit innovative projects focused on environmental protection.

Each day of the forum was an opportunity for the 300 participants from African countries to learn new knowledge about the environment and the protection of natural resources. For young people, actions must be taken to better manage African natural resources. To this end, they made recommendations and proposals for positive actions such as: pooling the actions of African states, the private sector and civil society organizations to stop environmental degradation.

Young social entrepreneurs and members of private institutions are committed to working for the training and awareness of populations on environmental degradation. They have formed a network of organizations that will promote entrepreneurship in the fields of the environment and especially the circular economy in Africa.
