Representatives of the IPC from Russia took part in the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation
In 2022, Kazan (Russia) served as the Youth Capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries, for the first time such a status was assigned to a city from an OIC observer country. From December 12 to 16, the final campus which consisted of two forums was held at once: the Youth Forum "Russia - OIC" and the Russian-Balkan Youth Forum, which was attended by IPC Chairman Ilya Lisnyak and Russian representatives Anna Abrazhenchik and Dmitry Beltyukov.
The forum was attended by 100 delegates from 26 countries. Within the framework of discussions and panel sessions at the forum, the topics of Islamic finance, public diplomacy, creative industries and sustainable development were discussed. At the closing ceremony of the forum, the OIC Youth Leaders Award was presented in several categories: Ethnosportsman of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Media Influencer of the Year, Social Entrepreneur of the Year, Researcher of the Year, Public Diplomacy Project, Young Ambassador of Islamic Culture and Art of the Year. On the sidelines of the forum agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between the IPC and youth organizations of several countries.
