IPC representative from Ghana John Aggrey took part in the 2024 Friendship Cup in Russia
The Friendship Cup 2024 (stage of the World Cup in hand-to-hand fighting) was held from April 24 to 28 in Moscow, Russia. Athletes from 27 countries took part in the competition.
IPC participant from Ghana, Founder and CEO of HIRED Consult, partner of The Youth Consortium, CEO of the Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations and expert judge of the WEARETOGETHER prize took part in the tournament as an international coach and observer.
A significant moment during the Friendship Games 2024 was the official recognition of Ghana as a member of the Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport International Federation. The Certificate of Endorsement grants stakeholders and partners the mandate to enhance the sport through training programs, referee courses, and local and international competitions in Ghana. The signing was represented by Sergey Astakhov, the President of the Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport International Federation and John Aggrey.
