Nuclear Ban Week took place in New York, USA from November 27 to December 1 in support of the Second Meeting of the States Parties to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), which also took place at UN Headquarters in New York.
IPC participant from Malaysia, Head Advisor of the Malasian Youth Diplomacy movement, founder of the youth movement Disarmament Doves Elisa Shafiqah participated as a delegate and facilitated a youth session where participants discussed modes to actively participate youth in nuclear governance. Elisa also spoke at the intersessional structure and presented the vision of youth, complementing it with the UNSCR 2250 YPS Agenda and pushing for an aggressive DEI policy for a more effective operation on nuclear governance.
