IPC participant from Belarus Maxim Kharitonik spoke at the festival “Youth for the Union State”

From September 5 to 8, the XVI festival “Youth for the Union State” was held in Smolensk, Russia. The festival has been held on the initiative of deputies of the Union Parliament since 2006 in order to create a single cultural space, strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the younger generation of the two countries, exchange ideas and establish cooperation between youth associations, and identify new talents. In addition to the music competition, the program of the Youth for the Union State festival included concerts, patriotic events, musical evenings and humor evenings, as well as four new discussion platforms on patriotic topics.

As part of the festival, a meeting of the Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia was held, chaired by Maxim Kharitonik, a member of the IPC from Belarus. The meeting participants discussed a number of key issues about the future direction of work and outlined projects that will be implemented in the future.
