IPC participant from Ghana John Aggrey volunteers at FAO World Food Forum (WFF)

The World Food Forum is a youth-led movement and network to transform our agrifood systems. The WFF is also committed to local action that emphasizes innovation, partnerships, science-backed evidence, and above all inclusiveness - with youth, Indigenous Peoples, women and people in vulnerable situations leading the way.

Founder & CEO of HIRED Consult John Aggrey became an official Volunteer in the Division/Department of DDCE- World Food Forum (Office of The Chief Economist) and under supervision, he will support engagements with internal and external partners (e.g.- other FAO divisions, private sector companies, influencers, marketing & design agencies and freelancers) to enhance and execute the campaigns of the World Food Forum. In addition also, John will support planning, partnerships, promotion and management of the WFF Tracks.

In full alignment with the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit, the World Food Forum serves as the premier platform to engage and harness the passion of youth in order to galvanize action and identify solutions to the growing challenges facing our food systems and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as achieving “Zero Hunger”.

This year the event is taking place at FAO Headquarters, Rome Italy from 16 – 20 October 2023 on the theme, “Agrifood Systems Transformation Accelerates Climate Action.”
