The creation of the International Project Congress was announced at an online conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory

Yesterday an international online conference “Youth cooperation in preserving historical memory” was held in Zoom. Leaders of youth organizations and young politicians from Russia, Venezuela, China, Azerbaijan and Belarus took part in the discussion, organized by the Perm Youth Center.

Ilia LISNIAK, Deputy of Legislative Assembly of Perm Region:
  • Last year, the Perm Youth Center took part in many international events. Our guys acted as speakers at forums, were part of official delegations, broadcast Perm projects to other regions and countries. This year we decided to take the initiative and create our own platform for young people from different countries.

The keynote speech on the prevention of falsification of history was made by the youngest deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vasily Vlasov. A series of reports on the contribution of different peoples to the Great Victory was opened by Ayan Ismayilova, Young Ambassador of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Azerbaijan. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union presented its projects on preserving historical memory. Member of the International Solidarity Committee of Venezuela Ramon Pomblas spoke about the role of Venezuela in the victory over fascism, and Liu Zhehao from the zone of international cooperation in Qingdao (China) expressed gratitude to the Perm youth for involving friendly countries in joint activities.

For technical reasons, the deputy of the National Constitutional Assembly of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, Jr. and the president of the Youth Trade Union of Venezuela, Vanesa Montero, could not join the discussion, however, by suggestion of the representative of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela, Anael Ruiz, the exchange of experience with Venezuelan youth will continue in other formats.

Mikhail NETSVETAEV, Representative of the International Project Congress:
  • I have always been against discussions for the sake of chatting, so joint projects on the way out are an indicator of usefulness for me. This time we went further and decided to join forces on an ongoing basis.

The result of the conference was the creation of the International Project Congress. The organizing committee includes representatives of all five states that have joined the conference. It will begin its activities with projects on preserving historical memory for the 75th anniversary of the Victory, and then will become a platform for joint work in various directions.
