IPC participant from Ghana John Aggrey visited UAE Embassy in Ghana on a business visit

A delegation from the Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations (GRCCR) led by IPC participant from Ghana, founder and CEO of HIRED Consult, partner of The Youth Consortium, founder and director of the Centre John Aggrey was hosted by the United Arab Emirates Embassy, and welcomed by H.E. Amer Ali Al Alawi, UAE Head of Mission to Ghana.

The primary purpose of the delegation involved exploring business opportunities that could enhance socio-economic collaboration between GRCCR and UAE. They also discussed ways to engage youth in these initiatives. GRCCR plays a crucial role in fostering youth engagements and diplomatic relations between nations, providing a platform for dialogue, understanding, and cooperation in various sectors.

The presence of young professionals in the delegation underscored the future focus on engaging the youth in economic and diplomatic activities that can contribute to national prosperity and youth advocates who are committed to leveraging partnerships for sustainable development. The visit is considered significant not only for the potential economic benefits but also for strengthening ties between the UAE as a new member to BRICS+ nations and non-state actors, thereby enhancing intercontinental growth and collaborations.

During the discussions, several key points were raised concerning potential collaborations in sectors such as education, tourism, technology and knowledge transfer, climate change and SDGs with a primary focus on youth as focal actors.

John Aggrey emphasized the importance of harnessing collective resources and expertise to foster development in Ghana, particularly with a focus on youth engagement in these sectors: “Our primary goal for this visit is to engage the UAE stakeholders through the Embassy on dialogues of cooperation centered around identifying specific projects that could facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development and exchanges for the younger generation.”
