The fifth online conference of the International Project Congress was held
June 16 an online conference of the International Project Congress was held in Zoom. More than 60 young leaders from 20 countries took part in the event.
The conference was opened by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov. In his welcoming speech, he noted the positive experience of cooperation with the International Project Congress and invited the leadership of the IPC to integrate with the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The Vice Speaker of the Venezuelan Parliament (National Assembly) Vanesa Montero Lopez also spoke at the opening. She stated that the youth of Venezuela is very interested in interacting with colleagues from other countries at the site of the International Project Congress, of which she has been a participant for a long time.
Senator of Egypt, Secretary of the Committee for Culture, Tourism and Media Mahmoud Elkot expressed hope that special attention will be paid to the media activities of the IPC. Mr. Elkot has been a member of the IPC since February 2022, and during these months a wave of fake news swept the world agenda, becoming a new threat to political stability in the world.
Participants who joined the IPC during the period between online conferences made a presentation of their activities and work plans at the IPC site: Rattha Gnel - Rector of Angkor University (Cambodia); Samuel Tabuni – CEO and Founder of Maga Education Papua Foundation, Papua International University, Papua Language Institute, Papua Research Center, Papua International Education Center (Indonesia); Aleksandar Kocic – Head of the chamber choir of the Society of Journalists of Vojvodina, Member of the humanitarian organization “Voice of Metohija” (Serbia).
Secretary of the IPC Mark Korobov (Russia) reported on the implementation of the international project exchange. The project portfolio of the IPC currently contains 11 projects, the plan is to expand the list to 25-30 projects in the coming months. New countries participating in the IPC will send their successful practices to be added to the database in June.
As a result of the conference, the chairman of the Union of Chinese Students, a member of the All-China Youth Federation, Lei Zhong, became the new deputy chairman of the IPC, and the head of the Moscow interuniversity scientific platform "MosStudNauka" Diana Kadyrova was appointed coordinator of the interuniversity direction of the IPC.
A separate block was dedicated to the participation of the IPC in international events and visits of delegations. Chairman of the Youth Congress of Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Chairman of the IPC Askar Shaikidinov reported on the participation of representatives of the IPC from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek on May 26, as well as plans for the participation of the IPC delegation in the Youth Forum on Lake Issyk-Kul in August. Lei Zhong announced the participation of the IPC in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 17-18, as well as a series of international sports events for foreign students. Ilya Lisnyak presented the results of his trip to Caracas (Venezuela), during which he held a series of meetings with the leadership of the Venezuelan parliament, leading political parties, youth organizations and state educational institutions. IPC trips to Kyrgyzstan, Jordan and Venezuela were announced in the second half of the year.
The thematic section "World Politics in the Age of Turbulence" took place in the final part of the online conference. The section was moderated by Anna Abrazhenchik, chairman of the Perm Youth Center. The speakers were well-known politicians and public figures: -Dragina Vlk, Member of the Serbian Parliament; -Luis Arreaza, Secretary for International Relations of the political movement Somos Venezuela; - Irina Forsyuk, President of the public organization "Bright Rus'".
