'It's Humanity' Foundation 'Protibha' Chief Operating Officer Afruza Tanzi has been selected as one of 50 young leaders to receive a Special Commendation for Commonwealth Youth Award for Excellence in Development Work in 2023 for her achievements in creating educational opportunities for women in rural remote areas. 20 of the 50 young people were shortlisted as regional finalists.
To celebrate this achievement, the Commonwealth Youth Programme, in collaboration with the Queens Commonwealth Trust, will be convening the Commonwealth Youth Awards ceremony on Thursday 14 September 2023. The Awards ceremony will unveil one finalist per region as the regional winner and one outstanding young person will be crowned as the 2023 Commonwealth Young Person of the Year.
