The final regional meeting and event of the Strengthening Social Enterprise for Migration and Development (SEMD) project was held from 4 to 5 June in Amman, Jordan. The closing ceremony was organized by the SEMD project to mark the end of the regional project, which lasted for about two and a half years.
The closing ceremony, which brought together the main project partners, investors, financial institutions, stakeholders and participants in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon, showcased the main project activities, knowledge gained, achievements and recommendations for future regional programs. It also highlights the impact of SEMD-supported social enterprises, which created 1,635 job openings and supported 23,698 migrants and refugees.
