Director of the IPC Public Diplomacy Department Anna Abrazhenchik took part in the UN World Data Forum in Hangzhou

The United Nations World Data Forum was held April 24-27 in Hangzhou, China. The forum program was divided into four thematic sections:

• Innovation and partnerships for more inclusive data

• Maximizing the use and value of data for better decision making

• Establish data trust and ethics

• Emerging trends and partnerships to develop the data ecosystem

The forum was attended by more than 2000 statisticians, parliamentarians, scientists and young researchers, representatives of the banking and digital sectors from around the world. Forum participants discussed new opportunities and barriers to using data for decision-making in management and innovation, the role of data in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and the use of artificial intelligence for data collection and processing.

Director of the IPC Public Diplomacy Department, Chairman of the Perm Youth Center Anna Abrazhenchik took part in the forum in Hangzhou. As a result of the forum, a participant from Ghana, Joseph Mensah, a consultant on social behavior change at Sightsavers, joined the IPC. Expansion of the IPC in China and Sierra Leone is being discussed.
