IPC representative from India Madhish Parikh attended the BRICS Youth Summit in Russia

The BRICS Youth Summit was held from July 22 to 26 in Ulyanovsk, Russia. It was attended by over 200 young representatives of the BRICS countries, as well as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Ethiopia and Iran. The participants discussed the prospects for developing youth cooperation in the BRICS countries.

The work within the Summit was carried out on 5 tracks: Education, Science and Training; Youth Entrepreneurship; Science, Technology and Innovation; Youth Community Work and Volunteering; Health and Sports. The participants demonstrated their country's experience and also proposed initiatives for joint implementation among the BRICS countries on thematic tracks.

IPC representative from India, Founder of Elixir Foundation, Advisory Board Member of Gujarat Technological University, Member of International Youth Alliance, Earth Day Youth Ambassador Madhish Parikh led a 14-member Indian youth delegation. Upon their return, the Indian delegation was invited by Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, to share their insights and contribute to the Government of India’s new “MY Bharat” Portal, aimed at connecting youth with educational and entrepreneurial opportunities.
