The annual Challenges Forum (CAF23) was held in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) from October 26 to 27. The forum was accompanied by the Training for Peace (TfP) program. CAF23 attracted participants from around the world to explore the role of regional organizations in maintaining peace and security. Under the theme “Towards a Stronger Global and Regional Partnership for Peace and Security,” the forum discussed and made recommendations on how the UN can better support African-led peacekeeping operations authorized by the UN Security Council. The forum was attended by a representative of the IPC from Somalia, Founder of the Fathi Initiative, Member of the Horn of Africa SDG Network Fathi Bashe.
