On April 14 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a regional conference "People's diplomacy is an important factor in strengthening peace, friendship and good neighborliness in Central Asia" was organized by the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan. During the conference, the topics of multilateral cooperation of the Central Asian countries within the framework of international and regional organizations were considered. Participants discussed topical issues of cooperation between the institutions of public diplomacy.
Member of the IPC, Chairman of the Youth Congress of Kyrgyzstan Askar Shaikidinov: “I believe that public diplomacy in Central Asia, where more than half of the population is young people under 30, will contribute to strengthening peace and harmony. Today we must implement joint and bilateral activities aimed at increasing the potential, knowledge, and abilities of the youth of Central Asia. After all, it is not in vain that they say that every state that invests in youth makes investments in the modern development of the country and the world.”
