On May 2, 2023, a SputnikPro master class was held by the Sputnik International News Agency and Radio together with the International Project Congress

More than 25 journalists from Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Morocco, Senegal and Central African Republic took part in the master class. Victoria Budanova, head of Sputnik's Africa Department, told reporters about the importance of turning to alternative sources of information.

Director of the IPC Public Diplomacy Department Anna Abrazhenchik: "Russia's rapprochement with African countries makes cooperation in the media sphere especially important. On the IPC platform, we will open up the opportunity for colleagues to publish their content in the Russian media, as well as offer objective materials about what is happening in Russia, which will certainly be of interest to the African audience. On the eve of the II Russia-Africa Summit, such an exchange is especially relevant"

The IPC and Russia Today joint master classes were announced at the December conference of the IPC; already in February, the first offline master class was held in English for African journalism students in Moscow. The master class in French for experienced journalists from African countries was the second in a series of events, and further media schools are planned for IPC participants from all continents.
