On July 6, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, a meeting was held between the Minister of Culture, Sports Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic with representatives of the UNICEF Kyrgyzstan program, which was attended by the Chairman of the Youth Congress of Kyrgyzstan, CEO of the United Youth Organization of Kyrgyzstan Askar Shaikidinov.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation in the field of youth policy, the library sector, as well as in media, in particular, the launch by UNICEF and partners of a new digital platform for youth in Kyrgyzstan U-Report to give young people a chance to share their opinions on issues that matter to them in their communities and to inspire communities to act for sustainable development. Thus, a survey was conducted on the U-Report platform on youth awareness of the concept of civic identity development, and the results of the surveys are used to further strengthen ongoing work among young people on awareness of the concept.
