On July 17, in honor of World Youth Skills Day, the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters hosted a panel discussion "Skilling teachers, trainers and youth for a transformative future". As part of the discussion, the founder of the Inmates Educational Foundation Alabidun Mahfuz shared his experience in creating an initiative to educate prisoners and how this will help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
