IPC participant from Cameroon Harrison Ashangwa spoke at COP27 in Africa

The conference organized by the Sustainable Ocean Alliance was held on February 17, 2023. At the webinar, young leaders of the environmental movement discussed the results of the last COP27 conference - the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt).

Speakers from Cameroon, South Africa, Tanzania, Namibia and the Seychelles discussed the application of the results of the conference on the African continent and the role of African youth in the implementation of the adopted resolutions.

Harrison Ashangwa, Executive Director of the International Student Ecological Coalition, believes that actions to implement the postulates of the conference may materialize after some time or have no results at all, however, the role of youth in this process lies in the daily actions and initiatives to combat climate change, which they promote in their communities.
