From March 15 to 16, Baku, Azerbaijan hosted the International Conference on Islamophobia, which was attended by scientists, experts from international organizations, representatives of the clergy and NGOs from 32 countries. The theme of the conference was "Islamophobia as a Specific Form of Racism and Discrimination: New Global and Transnational Challenges". During the conference, the participants discussed various approaches to combating Islamophobia, manifestations of Islamophobia in some European countries and in the world media.
