Chad and Botswana joined the IPC

The first representatives from the 40th and 41st countries of the IPC presence were:

Botswana: Tshegofatso Kgosintwa
- founder of the BIG Sister society, which has reached 55,624 people since its establishment in March 2021;
- Coordinator of the South African Regional Student and Youth Consortium of Botswana

Chad: Idriss Adum Idriss
- National Coordinator of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network in Chad, in which capacity he is actively involved in the preservation of local biodiversity, he also inspires and mobilizes Chadian youth to take concrete steps towards protecting the environment;
- Regional Coordinator for Youth for Adaptation Finance in Africa, where he strives to find innovative solutions to help young Africans adapt to the challenges of climate change, and encourages the establishment of funding and resources necessary to enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities;
- Focal point of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) in Chad, where he collaborates with regional and international organizations to promote climate justice.
