IPC representative from Cameroon Harrison Ashangwa participated in the Hamburg Sustainability Conference

The Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2024, held from 7 to 8 October in Hamburg, Germany, brought together global leaders and policymakers to address critical sustainability challenges. The conference featured forums on reshaping the international financial architecture, mobilizing investment for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and leveraging transformation for sustainable city development. Additionally, dedicated hubs focused on resilient food systems, green energy, responsible AI, future cities and empowering societies, fostering collaboration and innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

IPC participant from Cameroon, Executive Director of the International Students Environmental Coalition (ISEC) Harrison Ashangwa: "As in many international conferences, Africa was a central focus in several sessions. It is no surprise that Africa remains one of the most frequently discussed continents globally, given its unique challenges and opportunities in the sustainability and climate space."
