The Africa-BRICS Youth Forum was held from 26 to 28 June in Pretoria, South Africa. The theme of the forum was "Partnership for mutually accelerated growth, sustainable development and multilateralism". More than 1,000 participants from 50 countries applied to participate in the forum in person and online. The purpose of the forum is to establish and strengthen multilateral relations between the African continent and the BRICS nations. Participants discussed opportunities for youth through the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, transforming education and skills development for the future, and Equitable energy transition (sustainable energy generation and energy security in the global South).
